Hi friends! I’m teaching an intro to sewing class this Saturday, September 7, 2019 in Los Angeles and I’d love for you to join me. In this class, we’ll teach you all the basics you need to start sewing on your own. We’ll cover how to thread the machine, wind the bobbin, common sewing terminology, fabric basics and some beginner stitches. You’ll leave class with the confidence to start sewing on your own and a simple bag that you made yourself. The class is hosted at These Hands Collective in Venice, a super cool workshop/classroom space on Abbott Kinney.
If you are already experienced with sewing, I recommend sending this to a friend who wants to learn how to sew. Then you’ll have a new sewing buddy to chat fabric and patterns with! You can get more details on the class right here.
If you’re in the Denver area, I’ll be teaching two classes there in October. I’ll be teaching the Lou Box Top pattern and the Lela Skirt. The classes are hosted by Fancy Tiger Crafts the weekend of Oct 12-13. They will be a great way to get hands on instruction for working through these sewing patterns. These patterns are both great wardrobe builders and the classes are jam packed with sewing tips and techniques for happier sewing.
If you have any questions, feel free to email me at email@example.com. Happy sewing!
