Hi friends! Today I’m excited to finally share this lovely jumpsuit with you. I started this way back in October as part of the #sewfrosting challenge hosted by True Bias and Closet Case Patterns. The idea behind the challenge is to sew things that are fun and not necessarily practical. I had this gorgeous fabric in my stash for way too long and the challenge inspired me to finally take the plunge and use it. I honestly have not worn this jumpsuit yet except for taking photos but I’m blaming the weather. As soon as it’s a little warmer, I hope to give this jumpsuit a proper debut.
2019 Make Nine Challenge
I’ve been participating in the Make Nine challenge since 2016 and it’s a really nice way to start the year off with a fresh and consolidated list of projects. I realized this year that my list has always been (with one exception) patterns that I’ve never made before. (The one exception was the Archer Shirt in 2018. I made it once before but wanted to perfect the fit and fabric choice.) This year I actually have a lot of projects in my queue that are repeat patterns but they’re just not fun to put on the Make Nine. So my 2019 Make Nine will again be all new-to-me patterns. There’s absolutely nothing wrong with making a pattern over and over again. In fact, I truly hope that people make my patterns more than once. But, making a new pattern is such a thrill. I always learn so much from new patterns and there’s also that suspense of not totally knowing if you’re going to love the final garment or not.
Printable Sewing Planner Printing and Assembly Tips
Today I’m going to share a few tips for printing your Sewing Planner. I use a Canon MG7520 inkjet home printer so the videos and screenshots will show the capabilities of that printer. The techniques should be fairly similar for most prints. But, if these methods don’t work for your printer, I recommend doing an internet search to see if other people have had similar printer issues. (If you’re still stumped, you can also send me an email with questions at sewdiyblog (a) gmail.com.)
